Craig Schiff

President & CEO, Lead Analyst

Mr. Schiff is a pioneer in Business Performance Management. As a founding member of IMRS/Hyperion Software he helped create and define the field as it evolved from generic business intelligence and analytic applications into BPM (also called CPM and EPM).

Mr. Schiff spent 16 years at Hyperion (which is now part of Oracle) as Senior Vice President of Products and Services where he led a team that was responsible for thousands of successful BPM projects. Most recently he co-founded OutlookSoft (now part of SAP). While at OutlookSoft he was President and CEO and oversaw the delivery of the first unified, web-based Business Performance Management solution. Prior to Hyperion and OutlookSoft he project managed the custom development of financial reporting systems for customers of GE Information Services Company including American Express and AMF. He has spent 30+ years focused on budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial consolidation and close, reporting and analytics.

As lead analyst at BPM Partners he authors the Vendor Landscape Matrix Report, the Budgeting and Planning Buyers Guide, the Financial Consolidation and Reporting Buyers Guide, and runs the annual BPM Pulse Research Study and Pulse of Performance Management webcast. He was also a founding member of the BPM Standards Group.

In addition, Mr. Schiff has published dozens of articles, spoken at numerous BPM conferences and webcasts to thousands of business leaders, appeared on WOR Weekend Business Report, and was interviewed by Al Haig on World Business Review. He is a recognized thought leader in the BPM space and has contributed his expertise to CFO Magazine, APQC (American Productivity and Quality Center), Association for Financial Professionals, IndustryWeek, IMA (The Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business), Financial Executives International, TechTarget, Information Management, TDWI (The Data Warehousing Institute) and other leading finance and technology focused publications and conferences.

He is a recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University.

Gary Reck

Principal Consultant

Gary is one of our most senior resources and has overseen hundreds of performance management projects during his career. Today Gary manages a team of senior consultants with deep expertise in business performance management.

On most projects Gary plays the role of project manager. Previously Gary was a Managing Director at Answerthink/ Hackett Technology solutions where he oversaw a consulting organization that implemented performance management solutions and infrastructure. Prior to that he was National Director at Resources Global Professionals providing accounting & finance, audit, IT, and supply chain resources to clients. Gary got his start in performance management consulting at Hyperion (now part of Oracle) where he was a Vice President from 1992 – 2002. Before entering the consulting field Gary worked in the corporate controller’s department at Aetna Life & Casualty as Director, Financial Information.

Tim Wall

Principal Consultant

Mr. Wall has more than 25 years of experience in helping Fortune 500 companies, privately held businesses, and government agencies evaluate and implement business performance management, business intelligence, and analytic reporting solutions.

Mr. Wall has helped hundreds of organizations successfully develop strategic performance management roadmaps and evaluate and implement performance management solutions. Mr. Wall first joined BPM Partners in 2004 where he has utilized his executive management experience leading sales, strategic account management and business advisory service teams with Longview Solutions, LexisNexis, and Hyperion Solutions (now part of Oracle). In addition, Mr. Wall directed strategic planning and financial planning and analysis teams in the utility and media industries. Mr. Wall holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

Dana Nunes

Vice President, Vendor Services and Operations

Ms. Nunes, a founding team member, is responsible for overseeing contracts, fulfillment, and measuring client satisfaction. She also has primary responsibility for BPM Partners vendor services.

The vendor services offered by BPM Partners enable vendors to fine tune their messaging, enhance their products to better meet market needs, and create greater awareness for their BPM solutions. The ultimate beneficiary is the BPM end user who now has a more robust and well differentiated range of solutions to choose from. Internally, Ms. Nunes manages the company’s HR, IT, Accounting, and Administrative functions ensuring the infrastructure is in place to allow the business to run seamlessly and meet customer needs. Previously, Ms. Nunes performed similar operational functions for both Hyperion and OutlookSoft.

John Colbert

Vice President, Advisory Services

John Colbert, a founding team member, is a seasoned product executive and business transformation specialist with three decades of experience in technology, software development, and performance management solutions.

As Vice President of Advisory Services at BPM Partners, he collaborates with technology organizations seeking to optimize their business performance strategies, drive digital transformation, and deliver financial and operational efficiencies for their customers.

John’s career spans leadership roles at OpenGov, IBM, and Hyperion (Oracle), where he spearheaded product innovation, market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives. At OpenGov, he led product management efforts that resulted in strong double digit annual revenue growth. During his tenure at IBM, he transformed a SaaS business for B2B integration and managed file transfer, integrating customer-centric growth strategies, creative off-shore product development, and scalable deployment solutions through partnerships.

His expertise includes product lifecycle management, customer experience enhancement, and strategic growth partnerships. John played a pivotal role in multiple M&A integrations, streamlining product offerings and maximizing market impact.

John holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. Passionate about mentoring and industry thought leadership, he has contributed to the evolution of performance management, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. John’s strategic vision and hands-on leadership continue to drive innovation and measurable success for BPM Partners and its clients.

Ives Brant

Director, Editorial Projects

Ives has worked with BPM Partners for two decades, with a primary focus on creating whitepapers and case studies for BPM solutions providers.

As a consultant, he has worked on marketing projects for many technology vendors in fintech, cybersecurity, SaaS applications and development, and AI. He was previously editor-in-chief and publisher of Tornado Insider in Europe.
