Cartesis
Changes Owners |
|
In late December, Cartesis was acquired
by an investment consortium led by Apax
Partners. They had been owned by PwC. The
fact that they were owned by an audit firm
did have a negative impact on their Sarbanes-Oxley
related business, probably reducing potential
sales by about 10%. This is ironic since
they have one of the stronger SarBox solutions
in the BPM space. Therefore, we view this
change as positive for the company and its
customers. In addition, the U.S. operation
has been strengthening its management team
by bringing on former Hyperion executives
to lead its Sales and Service areas. We
believe Cartesis is now well-positioned
to challenge the BPM leaders, particularly
in the area of financial management.
